untitled writing project

sean [or: nick, kevin, mark (undecided)] is going to college next year and it's the last day of summer. he is going out with his friend lacey before they leave for college together. him and lacey just came from a private school where they were lumped together in the "less rich" group of kids and became best friends. they stay out all night and deal with everything in one way or another before they leave it all behind to move into the city the following sunday.

"of mice and men" meets "catcher in the rye" and "perks of being a wallflower"

Sounds awesome, I can't wait to read some!

P.S. I finished Paper Towns and Speak. Both were epic-ly amazing. I really like John Green's stuff. I didn't read Hard Love because the book smelt funky (I couldn't get over the smell so, aha). Right now I have on hold is Before I Die and this other book by John Green just because I like his stuff.

Which ends the list of books you gave me to read. Can I have another list? :D

P.S.S. I love Saves the Day. I am currently obsessed with their album Under the Boards. Favorite song from it is Lonely Nights.

Oh sweet jesus, look at me now Jonah! ;D

"Lonely Nights" is one of my Saves The Day JAMS hahaha and "Bye Bye Baby" but I never got into their record 'Sound the Alarm' but for cool Saves the Day stuff listen to the band Two Tongues and then move onto listening to Say Anything because they're pretty cool too :)

I may have recommended this but:
"I am the Messenger" Markus Zusak - The happiest book ever. It makes you want to save the world. It's so good. The character progression is amazing.

"Slam" Nick Hornby - I think he's a guy-type writer. I thought this book was pretty good. It's a little weird but an easy read to say the least. I enjoyed it though and even though it got a little trippy and far-fetched it was pretty sweet.

"How They Met? And Other Stories" David Levithan - If you are uncomfortable with gay relationships don't read this! But some of the stories (especially gay musician-boy) are amazing. I liked them. They inspired me a ton! and this is a guy who wrote the Nick parts for Nick and Norah so he has cool points!

"What my mother doesn't know" Unknown author - I've probably recommended this but it's really sweet. It's poetry. It's great. It makes me smile.

"Of Mice and Men" John Stenbeck - I read this in school last week and loved it. It's a little hard of a read but it is so good! I loved it. I got so into it that my whole group must have been like 'WTF? This is such an english nerd!' not that they don't already know it. But it has such a good portrail of human nature. Amazing!

I'm hesitant about this one: It's graphic.
"One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" Ken Kesey - The inner working of a mental hospital and the human phyco-world. So good. One of my all time favorites but I would catagorizee it with Plath's "The Bell Jar" because it will rip you down and I think it's one of those books you should wait to read. But remember it because it will knock your socks off if you like interpretating things.

"The Giver" Lois Lowry - You've probably read this in school? It's so good. I think about it a lot and am probably buying a copy of it. Soo good. I liked it when I was in 7th grade and 5th but I'm going to love it to death next time I read it. I know it.

So here's a long list. I love John Green to death. Look for his YouTube channel "vlogbrothers" it's him and his brother Hank doing vidoes back and forth bouncing off of a project where they didn't comminate through text for a year and made a youtube vlog about it. Soo funny. They have songs in it and you can catch John while writing "paper towns" which is pretty rad.

"13 Reason Why" unknown author - Probably recommended this too. It came out recently so I think it's only in hard copy but it is amazing. I love how everything is so interwined. It's amazing. I love it. It's about a girl who kills herself and leaves tapes to be passed to the 13 people who are the reasons why she killed herself. soo emotional and amazing.
